Custom planning with our small TROBOLO DIY Set

You can plan and equip your DIY composting toilet with a 1.7 gal solids container as required.

For a 0.6 inch thick body, for example, the external dimensions are 15.6 x 13.4 x 13.4 inch when using the 1.7 gal solids container.

For the internal dimensions of your composting toilet, you should calculate at least 14.4 x 12.2 x 12.1 inch.

We bought the Wandago toilet for our van at the beginning of spring on the recommendation of a friend and we are more than happy. Construction as well as the first emptying were easy. Being able to change the seat-height is a great feature. Travels everywhere we go now and don’t want to miss it. Can highly recommend.

We have been using this composting toilet almost daily since the beginning of April 2018 and are very satisfied with it. The system is ingenious and easy to handle. What more could you want! No consumption of water, but free fertilizer, which we, but also our plants in the garden, are happy about. It is a pity that this product did not exist before. We can fully recommend this toilet. Thanks to the developers.

To be honest, I was a little sceptical at first whether it would really work. But what can I say? It’s better than I expected. There is absolutely no odor whatsoever. It’s funny that something like this hasn’t been around for a lot longer, because then we wouldn’t have had to buy expensive chemicals for the chemical toilet over the years. By the way, we have disposed of that by now... So thanks again for the great idea!

I have owned a composting toilet for about 4 months and I am completely satisfied. I use it as an indoor toilet without exhaust air and it works wonderfully, without unpleasant odors. In the beginning I had some doubts, but these were quickly dispelled. A big praise to the manufacturers, great workmanship and quick feedback in case of questions!

How do I use a TROBOLO?

Using a TROBOLO differs little from using a conventional toilet. The sitting position is identical to that of a regular toilet – this applies to both men and women. Thanks to the contact-free separation system the body only touches the toilet seat. Merely urinating while standing should be avoided as the urine cannot be fully separated in this case.

Are odors generated during usage?

Since unpleasant odors only develop when faeces come into contact with urine, the TROBOLO separation system prevents a mixing of the excretions. Remaining odors and any arising moisture are also absorbed by litter which is not required in a TROBOLO with an electric exhaust system.

How do I empty my TROBOLO?

All TROBOLO models can be conveniently opened from above to remove the two separate containers located inside. After opening the TROBOLO, the inside containers are sealed tightly with the help of the closures through a simple pressing or screw mechanism, which renders them air- and liquid-tight. The final step is to remove the containers which can then be transported to the emptying location.

What is the function of the separation system?

By separating the excretions, odors are reduced to a minimum and the subsequent disposal of toilet waste is made easier. Unpleasant odors arise only when urine and faeces are combined which is why it is possible to do without toilet chemicals that are harmful to the environment.
